Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist, previously worked as a TV correspondent for ABC News. She is known for her work as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend from 2015 to 2018, and as co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018. Before this, she co-anchored World News Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the lack of opportunities in TV, she took an opening as a sales representative for radio. After one year working as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT she was in a position to report and anchor occasionally. She was the anchor for weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati as well as the weekday anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. She became a reporter for sports for the NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November 2005 to December 2011 after her contract was terminated. In December 2011 she was recruited by ABC News, the division for news of ABC. On January 2, 2012 she made her debut on ABC News' World News Now and America This Morning. She was a journalist and fill-in for Good Morning America during this period. Then she was made a New York-based correspondent for every ABC News programs. The last show she appeared on was World News Now and America This Morning was broadcast on January 22, 2013. After Bianna Golodryga resigned to join Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend was on August 9, 2014. News. On August 25, 2015 ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a co-host for season 19. The show announced on August 3, 2016 that she had been renewed for her contract for the twentieth season. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as co-host. She appeared mostly during episodes on Fridays in the 21st season and the 22nd season.
